Miss Diana

Diana came down from Wellington for a weekend to visit us, it happened to be thanksgiving weekend. We decided to go to Akaroa (I did say that we bring everyone there, right?) for a night as saturday was the Akaroa French Festival. The weather was beautiful and HOT and the festival, although small, was a lot of fun. There were even real French sailors and they brought out the New Zealand Army Band. On sunday we all went back to Sumner and had a proper Canadian thanksgiving dinner - Turkey, stuffing (mmmmm), mashed potatoes and even pumpkin pie made from scratch (yes - I said scratch - no canned pumpkin here!).
