Okay, I realize it's been a while since I've posted anything. I can't even blame it on busyness because I haven't really been doing much with myself except job hunting. Our internet has been really slow, and the pictures I've been uploading don't seem to work so i temporarily gave up :) I will post more soon because I have taken quite a few!
This week I was really frustrated about not having a job. I signed up with a few temp agencies and ended up working a couple days this week down at the bus exchange counting buses and people on buses for Environment Canterbury (I guess to track the efficiency etc of the bus routes). Yesterday, as I was doing this I suddenly realized how ironic it is that I'm waiting for buses all day, considering my general feeling towards public tranport (like it, think it's a great idea, think more people should use it, hate waiting for buses, almost always miss the bus). Anyways, I had an interview today with Environment Canterbury for a completely different and unrelated (thank goodness) job. And I got it!!! Start Monday. It's only a temp job but it's a foot in the door and I think almost everyone there started off as a temp and some of them have been there for years now. So anyhoo, it's an administration job, in the consent department of the office. Sounds like it's a good team of people to work with and apparently a really great place to work! So we shall see!
